Kris Johnson

Kris grew up in Seattle, Washington, and moved to the UK in 2007. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Newcastle University where she also taught on the BA and MA in Creative Writing. She is the recipient of a DYCP grant from Arts Council England and has published in journals, including The Poetry Review, Poetry Ireland Review, and Poetry Wales. Her first book-length collection, Ghost River, was published by Bloodaxe in 2023 and longlisted for the Laurel Prize.
