New Writing Exercise #37
devised by Margaret Wilkinson

Bugs
Linda Anderson Browse workshops

#1 A bug exterminator is called to a deserted building from his past (his old primary school, his alcoholic father's flat, his grandmother's bungalow). What will he discover?

#2 You are a landlady advertising a room. Your new lodger is secretive and behaves oddly. One day you catch sight of his mouthparts....

#3 Write a poem of apology, confession or regret from the point of view of a bug. (Poems in this genre are called 'sorry poems.') A moth has shredded a baby's christening gown; a spider has terrified an old woman; a flea has transmitted bubonic plague.
