THE MSLEXIA POLL
This writing life
THE TOPIC: What is your most productive writing season?
Posted By: Shani Phehean-Hubble Long days are better for creativity
I have come to the conclusion I write better, longer and am more creative when the days are longer. I do though enjoy writing late into the night, when the house is quiet and I can hear my voices !! (I think I borrowed that one from Daphne De Maurier !).
THE TOPIC: Have you ever lied about your age?
Posted By: Kelly Cowley I try to tell the truth!
I used to lie about my age when trying to get served as a minor (to no avail). Now I'm 24, they still don't believe I'm old enough. My height and my baby-face do the lying these days, but it doesn't help me much!
Posted By: Ah well... What's "lying"?
Often I am not even sure how old I am. 41, 42, 40? -- What was it. So why not say whatever sounds appropriate?

If I am to be a jaded (aka experienced) know-it-all, I'll make myself younger and more of an oddity. If I am to be a jumpy, joyful party goer, I'll make myself older to be more vital.

Big deal... It's just some numbers. What do they tell about me? The number of Earth's rotations since I ...what... started what ... did what... ?

lying about my age
I'm 56. I've never lied about my age. My mother died when she was 21 - the older I get the better I like it!
