EDITORIAL
New-look Mslexia
EARLIER this year we asked what changes you’d like to see in the magazine. Half of you (52 per cent) asked for more writing exercises, and more on the psychology of creativity (43 per cent). So we’ve devised an entirely new Creativity section with a range of new features including First Draft, in which a top author critiques her own work. You also wanted more about the publishing industry (53 per cent), more on self-promotion (63 per cent), and more beginners’ guidelines (41 per cent). Our new Insider trading, Deal of the season and Make it pay slots are designed to meet some of those needs.
Thanks to our two focus groups in Newcastle, to Heather Welford for conducting this research for us and to everyone who responded to our Readership Survey. We hope you like the result. If not, we expect to hear from you…
